“House Of Mamba” The Home of NIKE’s Basketball Summer Campaign | Technology

Nothing is better than getting trained by the best. Nike is back again with a brilliant campaign that will keep the basketball fans busy during summer. Kobe Bryant is the guy who will lead this training camp, the basketball phenomenon, which will be his 9th summer camp this year held in Shanghai, China. That sounds already cool to me but Nike goes way beyond that. They have developed this interactive LED visualised basketball court with AKQA (creative agency) which will follow the moves of each players and the drills. It will keep the audiences much focussed to the camp and last but not least, it will give more publicity at the end of the day.

This training camp “RISE” kicked off at the beginning of summer, where basketball fans had this opportunity to submit 30 second basketball videos. 30 players where carefully selected from 27 cities. Also, LeBron James, another NBA superstar have visited Beijing, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Taipei and Kaohsiung to help players improve their performance and achieve breakthrough while selecting the 30 players who came from 27 different cities, and will compete in the next round of the RISE campaign with Bryant. Bryant will cut the remaining 30 RISE players to 10 who will compete in the RISE Final held at Wukesong Basketball Park in Beijing on Aug. 16. The three winners from the Final will participate in the Nike World Basketball Festival in Barcelona, Spain, Sept. 5-7.

In addition to this whole RISE training program, there was a designers’ battle for sneaker held in Nike Basketball Park in Shanghai, which was a one of a kind workshop.

NIKE RISE is Basketball’s first Social Docu-Drama in China

This multi-phased campaign is being broadcasted through internet as the first social basketball documentary drama in Greater China to inspire young people with a passion for basketball. The episodes will be broadcasted through Aug. 21 on QQ (nikerise.qq.com), Yahoo (Taiwan) and Fanpiece (Hong Kong) and every episode is released every week (total of 6 episodes).
