Young boy who once dreamt of becoming a professional football player had to step down from the game when a string of injuries forced him to abandon his dream. Séan Garnier, a french RedBull athlete is now known for his set of skills as a freestyle soccer player and have crowned the 2008 Red Bull Street Style World Finals in Sao Paulo, Brazil. His new carrier opened up when he was a soccer instructor in Paris, where he discovered a new passion that combined break dancing and football, “freestyle football”.
Freestyle football is more of a showing off your soccer skills than scoring goals like traditional football games. It is more like a street art. Sean’s style is more than a ball trick though – he combines music and basketball in his signature routines. Yosuke Yokata and Kotaro Tokuda are some of the Japanese freestyle footballers in the game.
