What a Wonderful World | Quote

Born in New Orleans, Louisiana on August 4, 1901, Louis Armstrong became one of the greatest musician and singer in America. Among his many hit records, most familiar to modern listeners must be ” This Wonderful World”.  The US was fighting many wars when the song was released in 1967.  The two major issues were Vietnam War and Civil Rights movement.

50 years since, globally we have come a long way both socially and economically , all at a hefty cost.  The consequences are enormous, mostly too demanding for any individual alone.  We still have many conflicts in the world and there are more unsolved matters like human rights, poverty, environment, just to name a few.How do we face these problems as an individual? How can we find something good that is worthy to pass on to our next generation?

We thought there might be a “key” hidden inside the lyrics of ”This Wonderful World” to help us going, which was embraced by the world and gave hope to millions in the 1960s.
